ANNUAL EVENTS
In
July our society participates in the annual Air Show Parade with a
float/wagon that is designed, built and ridden and/or tended by
members - often with their children and grandchildren's
participation.
Special Tours are available upon request between May 1st and
December 31st (weather permitting). Call 937.898.5300 and
leave a short message with your phone number and one of our members
will return your call.
Fundraisers
- Spring & Fall 'House Tours': A prominent member of our
society makes arrangements for group tours of beautiful, old,
unique homes, farms and flowering gardens in and about the
greater Dayton area. There are six tours in the Spring and
six in the Fall.
- Spring & Fall 'Trek to Tadmor': A walking, guided tour
to this historic area where this very early Great Miami 'river
town' was once located. Like Dayton, Tadmor also received
irreparable damage by the flood of 1913 and was ultimately
abandoned.
- May: Barn / Garage / Antique Sale is held on our
historical grounds.*
- December: 'Christmas at the Springs': This is a
festive occasion wherein we celebrate the holiday season with a
Cookie Walk. Baked Goods, Antiques and Christmas
Decorations Sale. These various events are held in the
renovated 1860's Schoolhouse, our late 1800's Log House and in
our restored, early 1900's Barn.*
*NOTE: All buildings are also open for tours during these
events.
